1. 개요
칸예가 2018년 발매한 싱글이다. 진지함이라곤 하나도 찾아볼 수 없는 우스꽝스러운 분위기로 칸예의 대표적인 밈으로 작용하는 등 여러 방면에서 많은 화제를 부르기도 한 곡이다.2. 상세
Amnesty의 Liberty와 Dancer의 Boom Boom을 샘플링했다.
이 곡의 비트는 원래 드레이크에게 갈 뻔한 적도 있었고, Pusha T의 피처링까지 받아 제대로 녹음한 버전도 있으나 결국 발매되지 않았다.
드레이크가 밝힌 바에 따르면 원래 이 비트를 칸예가 마음대로 써도 된다며 주었고 그래서 드레이크는 이 비트에 맞는 벌스를 만들고 있었는데, 칸예가 멋대로 Lift Yourself를 발매해 버린 것이라고 한다. 이 칸예가 드레이크에게 빅 엿을 멕인 사건 때문에 드레이크는 칸예를 디스하기도 했다. 따라서 Lift Yourself도 일종의 디스곡(?)인 셈이다.
