2023년 3월 17일에 발매된 멜라니 마르티네즈의 정규 3집 앨범 PORTALS의 리드싱글.

2. 배경

After School 발매 후 약 2년동안 음악 활동에서 쉬다가 본격적으로 3집을 준비하게 된다. 우선 모든 인스타그램 게시물을 내리고 이후 2023년 2월 18일에 정규 3집 트레일러를 공개했다. 또한 스포티파이에서 커버가 없는 12초짜리 스니펫을 공개했다.
2023년 2월, 멜라니는 드디어 PORTALS의 티저를 공개했고, 티저 내용은 매우 기괴하게 생긴[4] 핑크 요정 캐릭터가 안개낀 숲속에서 알을 깨고 나오는 내용이다. 즉, 죽은 Cry Baby가 알에서 새로운 모습으로 태어나 부화한 것. 이 티저 공개 후 멜리니의 유튜브 썸네일은 3집 관련 영상을 제외하고 모두 버섯에 "RIP Cry Baby"라 쓰인 사진으로 바뀌었다.[5]
