1. 개요
IB 디플로마 경제 과목의 학습 과정과 평가 방식을 정리해 놓은 문서. 크게 Paper 1, Paper 2, Paper 3와 Internal Assessment로 나뉜다. 앞에 두 부분은 SL과 HL 모두 공부하고 HL은 Paper 3을 추가로 공부하는 형식이다. 또한 HL과 SL 모두 Internal Assessment (내부 평가)를 해야 한다.2. 교과 과정
각 색션마다 HL 전용으로만 배우는 내용들이 들어 있다. SL과 HL의 공통 부분이 있고 HL은 같은 주제에서 좀더 배우는 편.(교과 과정은 IBO가 등록한 IB Economics Guide 기준으로 작성 되었다)

- 앞서 설명한 3개의 영역에서 extended response 문제가 각각 한개씩 나오며 이 중 한문제만 선택해서 답하면 된다.
- 각 문제는 경제적 개념과 응용에 대해 2개의 장문 에세이를 써야한다.
- 첫번째 문제는 특정한 개념을 설명하라는 식이며 두번째 문제는 어느 상황을 Evaluate 해야 한다.
- 각 질문들은 part (a) (최대 10 marks)와 part (b) (최대 15 marks)로 나뉜다.
- 계산기의 사용은 허용되지 않는다.
- 점수는 markscheme의 각 markband의 기준으로 채점된다.
- 여기서 주의할 것은 반드시 Criteria를 꼼꼼하게 읽어서 IB에서 요구하는 내용들을 누락하지 말아야 한다. 선생이 가르치지 않았다고 해도 채점할 때는 얄짤없이 Criteria 대로 매기기 때문에 주의할 것.

- 2개의 Data Response 문제들이 주어지며 이 중 한문제만 선택해서 답하면 된다.
- 각 질문들은 part (a), (b), (c), (d), (e), (f)와 (g)로 나뉘고 여기서 subpart (i), (ii)가 존재할 수 있다. 양질의 에세이를 써재껴야 하는 Paper 1과 달리 여기는 여러 개의 질문으로 나누어져 있는 편.
- 여기는 주어진 데이터나 상황을 토대로 경제적 해석을 요구하는 시험지이다.
- IB에서 사용을 허용한 모델의 계산기를 사용할 수 있다.
- 최대점수는 각 part와 subpart로 나뉘며 점수는 markscheme의 각 markband의 기준으로 채점된다.

- Higher Level 응시자들만 시험을 치른다.
- 2개의 Policy 문제들이 주어진다.
- 각 질문들은 part (a)와 part (b)로 나뉘고 part (a)에서 subpart가 나뉜다.
- 수업시간에 배운 모든 HL 주제들이 나온다.
- Paper 1과 2에서 언어적 능력이 필요하다면, Paper 3는 수학적 능력이 좀 필요하다: 도표와 그래프들을 그리고 이해할 수 있어야 된다. 다만 HL을 듣는 학생들에 의하면 SL보다 쉽다는 편.
- IB에서 사용을 허용한 모델의 계산기를 사용할 수 있다.
- 점수는 markscheme의 각 markband의 기준으로 채점된다.
3.3. Internal Assessment
경제의 IA는 3개의 코멘터리로 구성된다. 3개 모두 실제 있었던 뉴스 기사에 대해서 경제적인 관점에서 최대 800자 코멘터리를 쓰는 것이다.앞서 설명한 3개의 영역에 관해 각각 작성해야 한다.
3.4. Final Evaluation
이 네 부분이 IB 경제의 전체 평가를 이룬다. 밑에 표는 각 부분이 전체 채점에서 얼마의 비중을 차지하는지 적어논 것.| SL | HL | |

아무리 경제가 Easy 7 중 하나라고 할지라도, 공부를 똑바로 안 하면 점수 잘 안 나오는 거는 어쩔 수 없다. 그래도 문제 유형을 예상하기 가장 쉬우니 문제 풀이를 많이 하고 개념 정리를 알차게 하면 어느 정도 성공할 수 있다.
